Meet Your Therapist
Wisnu Meier, MA, NCC, LCPC
I am a licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience. I earned my Master of Arts degree in Human Development Counseling from Bradley University. My clinical experience includes providing counseling in school, college, and residential treatment programs, as well as in private practice, and hospital settings. I have also provided counseling through Employee Assistant programs and conducted corporate training on the topics of stress management, conflict resolution, diversity in the workplace, dealing with depression, and customer service for local businesses. I have taught workshops on a variety of topics, including legacy writing and mindfulness. I also specialize in methods for integrating grief and loss into our lives. I co-authored "A Journal for the Grieving Heart--A Slow and Gentle Journey Through Grief Toward Healing and Growth," a workbook inspired by my own experience with a profound loss.
My Philosophy
It is my intention to provide a safe and supportive environment for you to take an inward journey to discover your higher Self. When you learn to be quiet and still, you will be able to connect with your internal compass and inner wisdom which will help you navigate though life's challenges. The solutions are within you. I will help you become more aware of that. Once you are aware of your own strength, there is nothing you cannot overcome or achieve.
Born and raised in Indonesia, I also incorporate the Eastern philosophy I learned in studying martial arts and classical Javanese dance.
